The Whale and Ale pub is fashioned in the classic English Victorian Style with Oak-Panels & Brass Bar fittings. We are located in the heart of the vibrant and exciting Los Angeles Harbor in San Pedro’s Historic Downtown Waterfront district.

We had an excellent and very authentic meal of Fish and Chips. The service was great. The food was wonderful. They make a fantastic cup of coffee. The entertainment and the atmosphere were delightful.

The San Pedro Brewing Company is owned and operated by James Brown. James opened the restaurant in November 1999, after four months of construction to expand the former John T’s Tavern, which had been in operation from the early 1990’s until its closure in 1998.
The restaurant features great food, fresh ales and lagers brewed on the premises, live entertainment weekly, the finest in spirits, a kids menu, catering and party facilities, and the friendliest staff in San Pedro!
